The QMSEC Center
Advancing quantum information science and engineering (QISE) through collaborative research, transformative education, and supportive mentorship.
Welcome to the Quantum Materials, Sensing and Education Center at ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½
The QMSEC Center (Quantum Materials, Sensing and Education Center) at ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ integrates resources from higher education, national laboratories, and industry to advance the frontier of quantum information science and engineering (QISE) through cutting-edge research in quantum materials and quantum sensing, alongside innovative educational initiatives. Researchers and educators from ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½, Johns Hopkins University, Colorado State University, Ursinus College, and the University of Pennsylvania are dedicated to engaging undergraduate and graduate students in pioneering QISE research, leveraging on-campus resources, the NSF-funded PARADIM Center at JHU, and Nano Centers and synchrotron X-ray facilities at Department of Energy labs. Students will also collaborate with leading scientists and experts in national labs and industry, providing a dynamic environment that fosters the next generation of scientists and engineers, preparing them for leadership roles in the rapidly evolving quantum technologies sector.
