Dear faculty and staff colleagues,
I write to announce that Cheryl Lynn Horsey, our Chief Enrollment Officer, will retire from ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½in December 2025. Cheryl’s tenure as Chief Enrollment Officer at ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½began in 2017 and she has also served as our Equal Opportunity Officer for the past seven years.
Under her leadership of undergraduate and graduate enrollment, financial aid, and the Registrar’s office, the Enrollment division has consistently increased applications from prospective students, meeting enrollment goals and focusing on retention. Her work has been instrumental in expanding access to a ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½education. She facilitated partnerships with community colleges to create pathway programs into several ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½majors. She initiated and developed a summer residential program with Haverford College for community college students to help them realize the possibility of a four-year liberal arts education. In her work with former President Kim Cassidy, she modeled the expansion of grant aid to ensure that tuition would not be a barrier for those with limited income. Cheryl Lynn has represented ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½on the Consortium on Financing Higher Education, the American Talent Initiative, and the College Board Access and Diversity Collaborative. Cheryl Lynn also served as interim dean of the undergraduate college during the 2022-23 school year.
Beginning in the new year, Nichole Reynolds, our Dean of Undergraduate Admissions, will become interim Chief Enrollment Officer while we conduct a national search for a new Chief Enrollment Officer. We will celebrate Cheryl’s tenure and accomplishments closer to her retirement date.
